The counselling will commence on 25.02.2017 at 9.00 am at Vinayaka Missions University, Salem. Seat allotment will be done based on the rank list subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. The Choice of the branch depends on the candidate’s rank and availability of the seat at that particular time of counseling.

The Candidate should be present for the counselling accompanied by a parent / legal guardian on the specified date and time.

It is mandatory that the candidate should bring the prescribed tuition fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Medical College” payable at Salem (mentioned in the Fee Structure) to participate in the Counselling. The DD can be brought in denominations of Rs. 5,00,000/- for convenience. Cash or Cheque will not be accepted.

In case of candidates securing equal marks in the entrance examination, the candidate with higher score in the qualifying examination will be given preference.

Candidates who are not present for counselling on the specified date and time do not have any right to claim any seat.

If a candidate had submitted wrong information he /she will be disqualified from counselling.


  • The following original documents with three sets of photocopies should be submitted at the time of counselling, if selected.
a) ALL INDIA NEET-PG 2017 Admit Card
b) ALL INDIA NEET-PG 2017 Rank Sheet and Score Card
c) Degree / Diploma / Provisional Certificate
d) Degree/ Diploma Mark sheets
e) Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last studied
f) Migration Certificate (If qualified other than VMU)
g) Community Certificate (If applicable)
h) Internship Completion Certificate
i) State Medical Council/ MCI Permanent Registration Certificate
j) Prescribed Tuition fees in the form of Demand Draft  drawn in favour of
“ Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Medical College” payable at Salem
k) Copy of Aadhaar Card of Candidate & Parent
l) Copy of PAN Card of Candidate & Parent
m) Recent Passport size colour photograph – 8 Nos.
Candidates who do not have the above documents will not be
admitted into the counselling hall.


The Candidates once selected for admission should pay the following fees (according to the PG Degree/ Diploma Programme) at the time of admission and thereafter in the month of January every year. In case the candidate wants to discontinue/ withdraw during the middle of the Programme, he/she has to pay the entire Programme fee (for three /two years) before discontinuing from the Programme.

Apart from Tuition fees the following has to be paid at the time of admission.

There are numerous students who want to study PG Degree / Diploma Programme at Vinayaka Missions Univesity. We feel it will be a great disservice to these deserving candidates if any candidates block their opportunity only to leave the seat vacant later. To discourage such irresponsible behavior, we have a very strict refund policy. This way we want to make sure the admission process is fair and balanced.

The Candidate shall claim all the original certificates only after obtaining no dues from all departments

The candidate should give an undertaking that he/ she will abide by the rules of the University, College and Hostel.

Based on our previous experience, we expect all students in the selected merit list have a good chance to secure admissions. We recommend all interested candidates to be present for counselling without fail to make use of this opportunity. Vacancy status will be posted on website and the waitlisted students will be invited for the second round of counselling as per the procedures
