Srm Medical college MBBS admission details 2017 updates

 

ADMISSION CRITERIA

For majority of the programs, admission is done through National level entrance examination conducted by SRM University or authorized /statutory boards or agencies. For few programs, admission is done directly. In addition to the above, the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.

ELIGIBILITY

 Important Information:

  • It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite eligibility for admission. Having been called for the entrance test / counseling does not necessarily mean acceptance of the eligibility.
  • Eligibility conditions such as the minimum percentage of marks / CGPA obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination shall be as prescribed by the University from time to time.Note (For B.Tech & Health Sciences (UG)): The aggregate percentage of marks obtained in PCM / PCB in XII standard / equivalent should be calculated up to 3 decimal points and should not be rounded off to the nearest integer.
  • The admission offered to a candidate who has been provisionally admitted to a program will stand cancelled if he / she does not submit the relevant documents in original pertaining to admission (such as Marks Statements, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, etc.) to the Admissions Officer before the date stipulated by the University.
  • Admissions to various programs will however be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates / documents of the candidates. In case any discrepancy is noticed, even at a later point of time after admission, the management reserves all right to cancel the candidate’s admission and such a decision shall be final and binding on the candidate. SRM University cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage arising out of such cancellations of admissions.
  • The university reserves the right to add / delete programs depending on the viability to offer the same.
  • Accommodation in the University hostels will be subject to availability and allocation will be done only after the payment of full tuition fees and enrollment.
  • All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai only.

  • In addition to the Tuition Fee and Registration Fee, Special Fee is applicable for All Medical Programs (amount varies based on program & campus)
  • First Year One-time non-refundable and non-transferable Registration fee of Rs.10,000/- for programs with an annual fees of Rs.1,00,000/- and above.
  • First Year One-time non-refundable and non-transferable Registration fee of Rs.5,000/- for programs with an annual fees less than Rs.1,00,000/-
  • Examination Fee per semester will be additional based on the number of subjects registered for exam

Note

  • A/C, bath attached, 3 sharing will be Rs.1,90,750 / Rs.2,10,750 based on room size.
  • Laundry fees is optional for IV year UG and all PG students.

Payment of Fees

  • Students have to pay their fees online for Room Rent, Mess Fees and Laundry Fees by single payment in the name of“SRMIST HOSTELS”.
  • Stakeholders should enhance their card limit to the maximum.

Refund Policy

  • No refund is permitted during the middle of the course unless the candidate withdraws
  • Refund is not permitted if the student is expelled from the hostel
  • Rs. 5000/- will be deducted if room booking is cancelled.

 

Bus Fee: 2017-18

Engineering &Technology and Medicine & Health Sciences – Kattankulathur Campus

Kattankulathur Campus:
  • Air conditioned college buses will be operated from limited parts of Chennai city.
  • Online Bus Booking Mode is also available (Except First Year)
  • Bus Fee Rs. 50,000/-
  • The fees will be accepted subject to the availability of seats.
  • Bus fees once paid will not be refunded / adjusted under any circumstances.
  • The students are also advised to submit 2 stamp size photographs for issue of Bus Pass.

The loan can also be availed at the university campus during the counseling and admission sessions. The process is simple and hassle free, so every student has access to financial aid. In fact, during the academic year 2008-09, spot loans sanctioned by the various banks during counseling amounted to INR 75 crores.
